Mark D. Eitel
Being a native Floridian and living in Palm Beach County the majority of his life, Mark has seen quite a change in the real estate landscape over the years.
Real Estate was a natural fit for Mark. He was raised in his family’s business of residential construction and development. Although the road to real estate finance and brokerage had a few turns along the way. After completing his schooling Mark started and ran a small construction company. “I enjoyed the experience but I wanted to venture outside the shadows of my family’s business” say’s Mark.
So he followed his love of boating and all things marine, into a career in manufacturing. A job as salesman was offered to him with a marina equipment manufacturer in Dania, Florida. He jumped at the opportunity, quickly working his way through the ranks from sales to V.P. of Operations. “Those days were a blast; I was in a new world, not relying on family contacts. I really loved it; it was a good time for me, I really grew as a person and a professional”… “Quadrupling sales in a couple of years wasn’t so bad either” reflects Eitel.
After the experience of the marine industry Mark returned to real estate, first as a mortgage broker, then as a sales manger and then to managing partner of Schaffer Mortgage Corporation’s Palm Beach Gardens operations. He explains, “I was drawn back to real estate for the feel good factor”...”There is nothing like the feeling of satisfaction I get from guiding someone through the home buying experience” …”Real estate is an amazing business, I can’t tell you how many times a client has become a friend, that is a great experience”
When asked about what it takes to have a successful career in real estate, Eitel answered “That is easy”… “My Grandfather used to tell me, to be a success in business you have to remember only one thing. Treat you clients like family”… “If you bump into a client at the supermarket and he smiles and is happy to see you, you are doing a good job”.
What does the future hold for Mark? Well he has recently joined forces with the Quantum One Group to create their mortgage operation. “I have a great opportunity to partner the proven success of Schaffer with the technology driven concept of Quantum” … “I am striving to automate as much of the mortgage process as possible, then placing it in the hands of our clients and real estate partners”. This concept, when realized will allow access to mortgage decisions and approvals directly over the internet, regardless of office hours, It will be virtual 24/7 mortgage banker. You’ll be able to complete the entire process from application to the scheduling of your closing without ever having to meet with or talk to anyone. Unless of course you want to!
