COMING SOON:
Shorty’s Bar-b-cue: “This one may be opening next week if owner Solomon Kedmi is correct in his prediction. Shorty’s is a 50-plus-year oporator in Miami, with several locations. They’re branching out, and four more are coming in our area. This one’s in the Marshall’s plaza on the west end. Their claim to fame is barbecued brisket: a bit of a rare find in barbecue joints here. The menu’s extensive- anyone, including Kedmi, the Israeli vegetarian owner- can find something on it to eat.” –Palm Beach Post.
Zuccarelli’s: “A second outpost for this long-timer from West Palm Beach, it will serve the same upscale, but homestyle pastas, pizzas and entrees as its parent restaurant. A hopped-up wine list will give it more variety than the original. It goes into the Off the Vine space. Slated for late August opening.” –Palm Beach Post.
Chef’s Table: “Chef David Palmatier of Off the Vine opens in a little space across the sidewalk from this former locale with an American bistro. It will be designed around a chefs table for open reservations, set in the kitchen to watch all t he action. Coming this fall.” –Palm Beach Post.
Pizza Girls: “Going into Downtown at the Gardens, the Pizza Girls branch out from their Clematis Street location in Downtown West Palm Beach. They offer up giant, New York-style pies sold by the slice or whole pizza.”
